Therapeutic Ultrasound: US Pro 2000™

Product information "Therapeutic Ultrasound: US Pro 2000™"
Designed to treat yourself at home.
Therapeutic ultrasound operates at frequencies between 1 and 3 MHz. The frequency determines the intensity of the treatment. The higher the frequency, the lower the penetration depth. The US Pro 2000™ works with a frequency of up to 1 MHz.
Depending on the desired effect, you can choose between continuous or pulsed mode:
Enhance your microcirculation with continuous mode
Continuous sonication of tissue generates heat. Heat develops mainly at boundary layers, i.e., at transition areas between skin, adipose tissue and bones. These reflect sound waves stronger than the surrounding tissue.
The body responds to this stimulus by pumping fresh blood to the heated areas to cool them down. The stimulation of blood circulation and the warming effects in deep tissue layers result in pain relief and muscle relaxation.
Pulsed mode for massage effects
Pulsed sonication primarily creates mechanical pressure.
Molecules in the sonicated tissue area experience vibrations and accelerations which have the effect of a high-frequency vibration massage. The maximum penetration depth of therapeutic ultrasound is approx. 6 cm.
Stiff joints and tense muscles can be relaxed by the vibration of sound waves. These vibrations form cavitation bubbles in the body tissue which dissolve locally inflamed and hardened tissue structures.
Areas of application
Thermal and mechanical effects cause various physiological changes and stimulate metabolism and self-healing processes.
Joints
- Degenerative rheumatologic joint diseases
- Calcifications
- Sprains
- Fractures
Muscles
- Chronic muscle pain
- Muscle distortions, torn muscle fibers
- Muscle tension, muscle hardening
- Tennis/golfer’s elbow
Tendons
- Tendon pain and injuries
- Nerve and tendon irritations
- Tendonitis
- Contractures
Skin / tissue
- Tissue adhesions
- Painful scars
- Dermatological diseases
- Sciatica
- Bruises
- Swelling
Nerves
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Sciatica
- Lumbago
Aesthetic Medicine
Since frequency, intensity and pulse duration can be freely adjusted, the device can also be used in aesthetic medicine, e.g. to treat stretch marks or cellulite.
With a frequency of 1 MHz the US Pro 2000™ penetrates deep into the tissue. Therefore, it should only be used on the body but not in the face. Tissue layers below the dermis could easily be injured.
Treatment
In order to ensure consistent contact between ultrasound head and body surface, coat the ultrasound head with the provided gel and place it above the affected skin area. Move the transducer continuously.
Duration per session: 5-30 minutes depending on area.
Number of sessions: 5-15 sessions every second to third day. Later in longer intervals.
The healing process takes several weeks.
Therapeutic effects are often felt after the first sessions.
